The WEIMA TH 1200 briquetting press is a high-performance solution for compacting large quantities of loose waste materials from trade and industry. It processes a wide variety of materials, such as wood shavings, sanding dust, polystyrene, foam, light metals, paper or biomass, into compact, dimensionally stable briquettes. This significantly reduces storage and transport volumes and allows recyclable materials to be returned more efficiently to the recycling or production cycle.
Thanks to its modular design, the TH 1200 briquetting press can be optimally adapted to existing production processes and spatial conditions. Customised system configurations can be easily implemented – for example, with a pressing and hydraulic unit installed indoors whilst the material hopper is located outdoors, or with oil cooling for reliable multi-shift operation.
For particularly high demands on throughput and system availability, Duo, Trio or Quattro versions are also available, in which several pressing units operate in parallel. This allows the system’s capacity to be flexibly adapted to increasing material volumes.

Material hoppers up to 2x2 m for increased buffer capacity
The galvanised hopper, into which the material to be briquetted is fed either manually, via a conveyor belt or a screw conveyor, is fitted at the bottom with a rotating agitator and a discharge screw. It is available in dimensions of 1,400 x 1,400 mm or 2,000 x 2,000 mm, depending on the required buffer volume. The machine can be operated in automatic mode using level monitoring.

High ease of use with advanced Siemens PLC control
We manufacture all the control cabinets for our briquetting presses in-house at our German plants in Ilsfeld, Abstatt and Annaburg. We use only branded components for this purpose – including for our machine control systems. The high-quality Siemens PLC control system with touchscreen display ensures that the components are perfectly coordinated, enabling us to achieve a consistently high quality of briquettes.

More press cycles with a large hydraulic oil tank and a large press mechanism
The larger the hydraulic tank, the longer it takes for all the oil to heat up. This has a positive effect on the briquette press’s operating time. The hydraulic unit is also temperature-controlled. Taken together, this results in a significantly higher throughput thanks to faster pressing cycles and a more robust machine overall.

Maximum flexibility thanks to its modular design
If required, individual components – such as the container, the pressing unit or the oil tank – can be flexibly positioned. We call this option ‘Vario’. The machine adapts to your specific production requirements – not the other way round. Integration into existing production lines is extremely straightforward. This means that all options remain open to you, even for future optimisations.

Virtually dust-free compaction for greater safety and cleanliness
The briquetting process takes place without the addition of adhesives or binding agents, which means the resulting briquettes are safe for subsequent use as fuel. Thanks to a closed pressing system, the continuous release of dust is also effectively prevented. This protects your staff and keeps your production halls clean.

Rectangular briquettes of retail quality
As the only machine featuring pliers technology, the TH 1200 produces rectangular briquettes measuring 150 x 60 mm with variable lengths. These are ideal for stacking, packaging and subsequently selling at a profit. The high-capacity hydraulic unit enables multi-shift operation with high throughput rates. A generously sized pliers cylinder ensures the production of highly compacted briquettes.
